Work is getting better

Ive spent the last 3 days applying online. using old fashion tactics like find company X locally, track them down on the web, look at contact info, and email them a resume. and some job search sites that are much much easier, like only 3 clicks and Ive applied, good stuff. anyway Ive turned in about 20 resumes sofar and have only heard back from 4 places for interviews. i suppose every tech place is being swamped with resumes as 200 people are in the same position i am… oh well. sofar the most promising places are circuit city, college station ISD, and a couple more i will not mention so someone more qualified than i doesn’t steal it from me… I’ve got 1 interview today, if i can get it all straightened out. they told me i would have my interview on Wednesday, in my excitement i neglected to ask when or where, they haven’t answered any of my calls, nor have they called me back. anyway I’m going to get back to work, by work i mean turning in resumes online ;). later

One out of five calling back isn’t bad at all. When I first moved here I applied at over thirty places and never heard anything from them (that’s including McDonald’s). This time I can’t really think of anywhere to apply. Part of the problem is that I can’t think of a job I’d enjoy that I’m qualified for. I wonder if anyone needs someone to mop up shit?
