Netgear support sucks

In order to update the firmware on specific Netgear switches (the GS and FS series) you need to use the smart update wizard POS software that comes wiht it, but noone ever keeps the disks for enterprise class HARDWARE that shouldn’t need a wizard to update the firmware. alas, nergear learned this after making these lines of switches, so i had to call support to get the link to download the software. after 3 tiers of menue options i was hung up on twice, then bounced from lvl 1 support to lvl 2, where they assumed i didnt know wha ti was talking about so i went back to lvl 1. they asked how many computers were hooked up to it and if they were running windows xp…. i nearly shit a brick, an enterprise switch…. fuckers…. so after i almsot made the rep cry he bounced me up to tier 2, where i asked for a manager. after explaining my now 45 min on the phone i was sent to tier 3. where they finally got me a link to the software (which i will mirror here for you poor bastards looking for “Netgear SmartWizard 20505 Software”.)
