So, this previous week i was out of town on business (feels kinda cool to say that). went to two of the outer sales offices for onsite routine maintenance. mos tpeople hate doing it but its the perfect vacation for me. i get to get out of town and i don’t feel guilty because i get to work aswell, and the best part, the company pays for the whole thing!
So the first stop was the clear lake office, after getting hella lost in Houston i wound up in my hotel, the next day went to the CL office, met alot of the people that i had spoken with on a near daily basis. did preventative maintenance on all the computers, usual stuff, on my way from that office to the Houston office i decided to stop by NASA. ive never been so i wanted to take a quick tour, I drove next to a guard booth (i assumed just for show) however what i didnt notice as i drove into the complex was that it said “Employees only”, the guards did not take kindly to me driving into the employee entrance.
So after my disappointing experience at NASA i drove over to my hotel for the night in Houston. the “Palace Inn”. upon arrival i had a strange conversation with the front desk person. he asked if i would be having any guests, i said it was just me ill only need single occupancy, he told me that if i wanted to have guests i would hafto pay extra, i assured him i had no guests with me and got my room key and left. i didn’t realize what he was trying to convey until i got to the room.
